THE BODY AND THE
BELIEFS
SOCIAL.

We inaugurate this space, where I would like to share with you my research and views on issues related to the body, especially the body. woman's body. And the first topic that comes to my mind is the social beliefs, For this it is important to consider how in history this issue varies and evolves according to many aspects.

At the time of ancient Greece, bodies with proportionate volumes were considered works of art, some religions saw pale colors as a symbol of purity, in some African cultures bodies adorned with tattoos and scarifications were seen as beautiful and sacred.

Industrialization and urbanization led to the creation of ideals of beauty related to the thinness and youth, where globalization, advertising, media and networks have reinforced these ideals, which put pressure on women to force their bodies to reach sizes and weights that do not always match their structure, and

then we see the appearance of depressive syndromes and eating disorders that end the health and, in many cases, the lives of women.

This is the topic that motivates me to write, because although in this era movements have emerged such as Body positive that promotes the acceptance of everything that is different, which in my opinion is not enough. I want to express what happened to me when I was a child, I compared myself, and I saw in other women physical attributes that I considered to be a reason of professional success for them, in my mind I had the clarity that I would not be validated by the society.

and the environment in which I moved, my self-esteem had gone down dramatically and dangerously;  then I began to understand that fashion could be a tool, to search from fashion design, to understand the meaning they give to sophistication and to enter their dynamics and their market. This began to be my passion and has allowed me to understand that I can give this same tool to other women.

However, lhe relationship between fashion and body dimensions does not cure what is really important, do not change the

social behavior that judges, in fact, can entrench it, and that's what I do not want to happen, dressing the body should be the pleasure of feeling on the skin a type of fabric, vibrate with colors and experiment with shapes, so I launched with the first collection ANOMALOUSThis tribute, which is the first of many other capsules, was launched as my cry to redefine conventional limits, deconstruct the architecture of the body and play with shapes.

It may sound repellent, but my draping in the collection emulates what a stretch mark is to a woman, I turn them into art that the design allows me to deliver and wear the garment with elegance, with the attitude of a triumphant woman, as I want all women who for some reason and at some point have felt angry for not fitting into the social beliefs that want to control us to feel.
